Do blind Eskimos have seeing -eye sled dogs?
2009
January 8, 2009I was hoping this year would have a better start than 2008 ended, not that it ended bad. It started off January 2, Donna had surgery on her torn rota tor cuff, and will be in therapy for 6-8 weeks. It will be 9-months to 1 year before she is fully recovered. The down side to that is she will need to go back to see the neurosurgeon to have the herniated disc in neck evaluated to see if she needs further treatment or surgery. Austin is doing a little better, but still has a long way to go, i just ask if you all who read this blog keep us in your prayers.
Wild Week
December 16, 2008This past week has been wild, to say the least, Austin was admitted to the hospital due to a reaction to his medicine. They were trying a mood stabilizer on him, and his blood level went of control and he had a complete adverse reaction to the meds. So they basically had to take him off all meds and went into withdrawal. While running test they determined that Austin has suffered brain damage to the frontal lobe which controls moods and feelings. This was due to our daughter using drugs while she was pregnant. They have him on new med’s which they have had great success with like children like Austin. We ask for continued prayers for our family and our two other grandchildren 9-years and 5-months who are going through the same. Austin is now home and doing ok, Donna on the other hand finally received the report from her MRI, and it’s not good. She has a torn rotator cuff, some nerve damage, and will have to have surgery. Please keep us all in yours prayers.
Giving Thanks
December 1, 2008Thanksgiving is over, but do we stop giving thanks. I say NO! i am thankful every day, for being able to freely to say i am a christian, and believe in God. I am thankful for my family, that i have a job. There is so much to be thankful for, we just take things for granted. Think about it and let me know what you think!

I’m Back
August 17, 2008Wow, it’s been a while since I have blogged! Last weekend a good friend of mine said get blogging, so here I am. The last time I was here was June 15, what seemed eons ago, it’s been a busy summer that’s all I can say. I don’t know where to start, but so far the highlight was my parent’s first trip to Wilmington, and the birth of our 5th grandchild. Both were awesome. Donna & Austin’s visit to Pittsburgh July 18, 2008 the day Tanner Robert was born weighing in at 7 lbs 11oz. 19 1/2″ long, of course he didn’t wait for Donna to get to there, who left a 4:00am. A week after Donna arrived; they spent 2 days in a local hospital. Austin & his Uncle went fishing, on the way home; Austin slipped on a rock, and cut his ankle to the bone, which required 9 stitches. Then after arriving back in Wilmington, Austin spent the next 2 weeks in an immobilization boot on his right leg and had to take it easy. Yeah right, you try to keep an active 12 year old down. Well in just 9 days School is back in session, and in 42 days Lifepoint moves to its new home, Ashley High School, I am pumped.
Encouraging Word: And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? Matthew 6:30 NLT

Tithing Challenge
May 25, 2008Several weeks ago our church (LifePoint) were having a service and issued a tithing challenge but we missed it because we were out of town. Several weeks prior we decide to tithe every payday, and haven’t missed. We just wanted to share with how GOD has already blessed us. Two weeks ago, we tithed and a week later friends of our purchased a car from a place we recommended and we received the exact amount back. Last week a friend of Donna told her she was moving, and asks if she would be interested in painting her house, which Donna accepted. In order to keep the price down she wanted to help, so Donna cut her price because of affordability. A few days went by and Donna’s friend stated that she just couldn’t afford it. Then On Friday she called and asks Donna if she was still interested and she would pay what she ask plus more, which was double of what we gave. We just wanted to share with you how God has continued to bless us. It is such a blessing to be part of Lifepoint, and I want to thank you all for being such a big part of our life. if it wasn’t for Lifepoint Donna may be back in Pittsburgh today!
